1. Who we are (data controller)
Tralee Bible Fellowship is the data controller for personal data processed through this website in connection with Project 432 (our initiative towards land and a permanent church building in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland).
Postal address: 1st Floor, CWS Centre, Upper Rock Street, Tralee, County Kerry, V92 YH5V, Ireland. For data protection queries, use the contact form on the home page and mark your message for the attention of the leadership / data protection contact.
This notice is prepared with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 in mind. Nothing here limits your statutory rights.
2. What data we process and why
- Website & hosting logs. Our hosting provider, OVH, processes technical data such as IP address, user agent, time and requested URL. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (security, fault diagnosis and defending legal claims). OVH keeps these logs for a limited period set by its own policy; we do not use them to identify visitors.
- Contact form (Formspree). When you submit the form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. Submissions are transmitted to Formspree, Inc. (USA), which delivers the message to our church inbox. Formspree acts as a processor on our instructions. Their privacy policy and data processing terms apply to that step. The transfer to the USA is typically safeguarded under the GDPR (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures as described by Formspree). Lawful basis: legitimate interests, so we can read and answer your message. We retain messages only as long as needed to respond and for ordinary church administration, unless a longer period is required by law.
- WhatsApp. If you contact us via WhatsApp, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited / Meta Platforms, Inc. processes data under their terms. We use your messages to respond and support ministry.
- Giving (bank transfer, Tithe.ly, mail). Payment and banking data are processed by your bank, Tithe.ly, or postal services under their own terms. We do not store card details on this website.
- Site administration. The people who update this site sign in with a password that is stored only as a secure hash. To block password-guessing, failed sign-in attempts are recorded for 15 minutes under a pseudonymous code derived from the IP address (never the address itself), which we treat as personal data. Sign-ins and changes to the giving and contact details are logged with the same code, so they can be checked.
3. Cookies & similar technologies
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no advertising, analytics, or tracking, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss.
Typography (Cormorant Garamond and Source Sans 3) is self-hosted with this site, so page loads do not fetch fonts from third-party domains. When you submit the contact form, Formspree (formspree.io) processes the submission on their systems in line with their own policy. Links to WhatsApp, Tithe.ly, and Google Maps take you to those services, which apply their own cookie policies.
If that changes, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for consent before enabling any non-essential technology.
4. Your rights
Under the GDPR and Irish law, you may have the right to: access your personal data, rectify inaccuracies, erase data in certain cases, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, data portability where processing is automated and based on contract or consent, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based (without affecting prior lawful processing).
You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland). We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.
5. Children
This site is not directed at children for commercial profiling. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
6. Changes
We may update this page to reflect legal, technical, or organisational changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly.
Questions: use the contact section on the home page.
