A permanent home for the gospel in Tralee
Project 432 is helping Tralee Bible Fellowship secure a permanent Baptist church home in Tralee, County Kerry, putting down roots for Bible-centred ministry where such churches are few.
The need
1.37 million people. One purpose-built Baptist church.
Across all six counties of Munster, only one building has ever been purpose-built as a Baptist church: in Cork City, completed in 1892. More than a century later, nothing comparable exists in the region.
Tralee Bible Fellowship is here, growing, and committed to this community. Project 432 is our step of faith to give that work a permanent home.
“We are here—and we are here to stay.”

The plan
A clear path from vision to open doors
We have split the project into five phases, each with its own scope, budget and milestone, because donors deserve to know exactly where their gift goes.
-
Phase 1 – Securing the Land €250,000
Buy land in Tralee for the church, the first step everything else rests on. The land fund is fully raised, and we are working with a local estate agent to find the right site.
Funds raised -
Phase 2 – Laying the Foundation €180,000
With the land fund in place, this phase turns vision into drawings. Design work is under way now; planning permission and site surveys follow as soon as a site is secured, so building can start without delay.

Phase 3 – Raising the Walls €370,000
Once the site is ours, construction begins: foundations poured, walls raised and a roof overhead. This is the structure that will shelter gospel worship for generations.
Not started yet -
Phase 4 – Equipping the House €150,000
A shell becomes a home: interior fit-out, accessible design, sound and lighting, and rooms for every ministry the church already runs.
Not started yet -
Phase 5 – Opening the Doors €50,000
Final inspections and compliance sign-off, then the moment we are working towards: the first Sunday in a building that belongs to the church and the community it serves.

FAQ
Questions we hear most
Phase 1 is fully funded, so why is there no property yet?
Finding the right site takes time, and we put stewardship before speed. Location, zoning, size and long-term suitability all matter. We are working with a local estate agent in Tralee and would rather wait for the right opportunity than rush into the wrong one.
Are the Phase 1 funds safe?
Yes. Phase 1 funds are held securely and set aside only for buying the property. They cannot be used for anything else and will not be touched until the right site is found.
What is happening while the search continues?
We are pressing ahead with Phase 2, Laying the Foundation. Design work is already under way, so we can apply for planning permission as soon as a site is secured. A gift to Phase 2 pays for work happening now.
Why not keep renting?
Renting works for now, but not for a congregation that plans to be here for generations. A building of its own gives the church the stability to plan long-term ministry, welcome the community and serve Tralee without depending on a landlord or a lease.
Can I give from outside Ireland?
Yes. International bank transfers work with the IBAN and BIC on this page. Donors in the US can also give tax-deductibly through SENT INC via Tithe.ly. If you have questions, get in touch and we will help.
Prayer
Stand with us in prayer
If you cannot give right now, prayer is the most valuable thing you can offer. This is what we are bringing before God.
- The right property
- Pray for open doors as we search for a site in Tralee that suits the church in location, zoning and size.
- Planning & permissions
- Pray for favour with local authorities and for wisdom in every architectural and legal decision as Phase 2 moves forward.
- Provision
- Pray for generous hearts among those who hear about this project, and that God would raise up the supporters needed for every phase.
- Tralee & County Kerry
- Pray for the people of this county: that a permanent church building would become a place where many find faith, community and belonging.
